My dad flew in WW2, so I wanted to fly as well. I entered the U.S. Navy right after college in 1978 and went to Pensacola Florida to go through Aviation Officer Candidate School (AOCS). After graduation I became an Ensign and immediately started flight school. I graduated as a Radar Intercept Officer for the F14 program. I spent 12.5 years on active duty, made three Western Pacific cruises on the USS Constellation, and completed 450 arrested landings. I graduated from Top Gun and was accepted into the Aeronautical Engineering Duty Officer program. I spent the rest of my time in the reserves and retired with 24 years as a Commander (O5).

My passion for military-style weapons pushed me to create Lost River Shoot. I wanted to build a facility where people could watch these fantastic weapons being shot, but could also shoot them. Anyone interested in shooting fully-automatic weapons up to 50 cals can join us during the shoot. It is a unique and exciting experience – one that I think every supporter of the Second Amendment should participate in.

Safety is always our number one priority. Our highly trained Range Safety Officers will guide you through every step to make sure you feel comfortable with your firearm. This is a family-friendly event, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult when handling guns.

Sincerely,
